Three chairs off Briggate

A five-metre Victorian bay with an existing rear washpoint. We dropped a brochure’s four-chair claim to three stations, widened trolley gaps, and pulled the waiting bench off the glass. Warm timber floors met porcelain only at the wet corner. Lighting ran as vertical bars beside mirrors so faces stayed even on grey afternoons.

Package II covered survey through install visit. The façade kept its stone piers; we redrew only the interior fascia panel and mat well.

Warehouse plate by the Aire

A deep unit with a central column and high ceilings. Chair rows sat either side of a central circulation spine; waiting occupied a softer pocket near the entrance. We used baffles sparingly and relied on fabric and rug depth to tame echo. Black steel shelving matched existing window frames.

Package III handled the dual-zone plan and two site visits during joinery.

Upstairs Call Lane room

Stair access limited furniture sizes. We specified break-down benches and a split mirror run. A coat niche at the landing kept drips off the main floor. Paint colours stayed lighter than the street-level shops nearby so the upstairs room did not feel cave-like.

Materials and lighting courses ran as add-ons after an initial layout fee.

Corner unit toward the Corn Exchange

Two elevations meant two pavement audiences. We kept chairs away from the sharper corner glazing and used the long wall for stations. Signage depth was coordinated so interior ceiling lines stayed continuous. Evening ambient lamps were aimed to glow without glare for passers-by.
